The Mission...Arts. Equity. Access. All.
The Vision...The vision of the Any Given Child Shenandoah Valley is for all students to have a comprehensive arts education that supports and encourages students to creatively connect and explore the value, relevance, and impact of the arts. We believe quality arts instruction, rich in diverse art forms and cultural experiences, empowers students to be engaged, passionate, and successful. With the support of the community, it is our intent to ensure the arts for Any Given Child!

Who We Are... |
Any Given Child Harrisonburg is a collection of invested members of our community who value arts, arts education, and the creative child. We represent parents, educators, business members, philanthropy, higher education, professional artists, and arts advocates.
In 2018, Any Given Child Harrisonburg became a program of the Arts Council of the Valley and increased services to students in Rockingham County Schools. Their new name, Any Given Child Shenandoah Valley, reflects these program changes. |
Our History... |
Any Given Child is a national program sponsored by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. Any Given Child Harrisonburg has been at work behind the scenes since our selection into the program in August of 2014. Our Community Arts Team, made of educators, business leaders, philanthropists, artists, and leaders from our community, worked through collective impact to develop a mission, vision, governance, and goals to move into our implementation stage. Their commitment to access and equity in the arts formed the baseline for our work to continue.
Implementation began June 1, 2015 and will continue in perpetuity as a partner with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. |
