In partnership with our Premiere Performance Partner, The Forbes Center for the Performing Arts at JMU, 2nd grade students from Harrisonburg City Public Schools joined in the adventure of a pirate's life on the high seas. Pirate Professor Billy Bones offered up interactive and zany lessons on how to stand, talk, sing, and laugh like a boisterous buccaneer, all while promoting good manners and social courage. Integrating STEM lessons into his swashbuckling solo show, veteran New York actor David Engel used puppetry, slapstick sword play, and lighthearted mischief to keep the 2nd graders laughing and learning. Enjoy the photos of the brave student volunteers who went on stage and many more moments from Tall and Small Photography.
