MEET OUR CONTESTANTS BELOW

KELI ANDREWS

Picture
KELI'S BIO
"Hailing from deep in the appalachia hills of WV, Keli is 50% royal and 50% redneck.  She definitely missed her calling to live on the stage, and isn't afraid to kick a little tail.  With the exception of her husband, Keli loves dogs more than people, but children hold a special place in her otherwise dark heart.  A former pageant queen, she knows how rock the stage and work the audience.  Keli is also a pop culture trivia master.  She loves movies, books, and MUSIC of all genres.  Keli is ready to knock your socks off.  Enjoy the show!"

AKIEL BAKER

Picture
AKIEL's BIO
"Akiel is a devoted school social worker within Harrisonburg City Public Schools. He is passionate about making a positive impact in the community and supporting students on their journey.
Outside of work, Akiel loves to travel and explore different foods, and is always on the lookout for his next culinary adventure. But right now, his sights are set on the Lip Sync Battle in the ‘Burg—He’s bringing all the energy, maybe even a surprise costume or two, and definitely no singing skills! Get ready—Akiel’s leaving it all on the stage!"

SARA DAVIS

Picture
SARA's Bio
"Sara is a former theater kid and tap dancer, and was an integral part of the reigning champion’s Lip Sync team. Sara is passionate about arts access for kids, and by day she works as a family therapist in the community, by night she perfects her killer dance moves and impeccable lip sync  abilities. Sara has two kids of her own, who keep her humble and keep her dance moves in check. She is ready to bring da bomb energy, boogie down, and carry this team, once again, to victory! Are you ready for it?"

Bridget Manley

Picture
BRIDGET's BIO
"Bridget is a former theater kid, so being obnoxious on and off the stage is second nature to her. As a proud backup dancer for Katie in the last Lip Sync Battle of the ‘Burg, she’s ready to step into the big kid dancing shoes to raise some money for Any Given Child.Bridget is a publisher with The Citizen in Harrisonburg, events manager for Rivercrest Farm and Event Center in Elkton, and is a freelance reporter for WMRA.  When she was a little girl, Bridget loved “putting on shows” for her parents and forcing her siblings to perform. She has spent a good chunk of her life attending concerts and even met her husband, a musician, at one of his shows.  Music is one of her favorite things - but since she’s never been a “talented singer,” a good lip sync battle is right up her alley."

Amy Strunk

Picture
AMY's Bio
"Amy Adams Strunk is an American businesswoman best known as the controlling owner of the National Football League (NFL)'s Tennessee Titans. Amy Lynn Strunk is best known for being that one short girl with dark hair who kind of looks like that other short girl with dark hair. People really like her dad. You may remember her as the THMS cheerleader who fell during halftime at the boy’s basketball game at Pence in 1996. It made a really loud noise. Everyone laughed (including her own mother). Anyways, she loves performing and can’t wait to be center stage again. It’s for the CHILDREN."

Why Are the Arts Important?

“The arts are an essential element of education, just like reading, writing, and arithmetic…music, dance, painting, and theater are all keys that unlock profound human understanding and accomplishment.”
–William Bennett, Former US Secretary of Education
